Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Imagine what it feels like to carry a heavy burden for years… and then feel that weight begin to lift. While no therapy is a magic wand, many clients experience significant relief from the effects of trauma in a relatively short number of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) sessions.

ART works by helping the brain reprocess distressing images and memories so they no longer trigger the same intense emotional and physical reactions. Using guided visualization and specific eye movements, ART engages the way the brain naturally processes information, similar to what happens during dreaming.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a brief, evidence-based approach that does not involve medication or hypnosis. It can be used with children, adolescents, and adults to address concerns such as:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Phobias

  • Panic Attacks

  • OCD

  • PTSD

  • Performance anxiety

  • Family/relationship issues

  • Poor self image

  • Sexual abuse

  • ADHD

  • Job related stress

  • Anger Management

  • Memory Enhancement

How can ART help?
ART is especially helpful for clients who find it difficult to talk through painful or complex experiences. The process does not require sharing detailed narratives out loud, which can make it feel more approachable and contained. Many clients also appreciate that ART does not involve between-session homework and focuses on resolving "emotional blocks" efficiently, often leading to noticeable shifts more quickly than traditional talk therapy alone.
